Francisco Iranzo is Vice President of Operations and Technology for Chemical Intermediates North America at BASF, based in Geismar, Louisiana. With over two decades at BASF, he brings extensive global leadership experience across operations, technology, and supply chain management. Prior to his current role, he served as VP of Operations for Amines & Carbonyl Derivatives in Europe and led manufacturing units across Germany, China, Belgium, and Spain. He has also held positions as Plant Manager, Technology Manager, and Head of Operational Excellence Europe. He has championed operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and organizational growth. Known for his cross-functional leadership, he continues to drive innovation and performance across BASF’s global manufacturing footprint. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in semiconductor electrochemistry from UVSQ, post-doctoral research at Utrecht University, and executive training at IESE Business School. He also holds advanced degrees in chemistry and human sciences.
