
Jeff Irvine

Profile
Jeff Irvine is VP of Sustainability, Energy and Climate Change at WSP Global. He has over 18 years of professional experience in policy implementation and program management, with specialized expertise in decarbonization, science-based target setting, carbon pricing, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas (GHG) management and reporting. He leads WSP’s Net Zero Strategy practice in the U.S., advising numerous Fortune 500 companies on climate transition planning. Jeff has supported clients in the chemical and manufacturing sectors for the past eight years, serving as project manager, project director, and senior advisor for more than 60 corporate clients. He has led or advised on over 25 corporate GHG targets submitted to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). He is part of the inaugural class of SBTi-Certified Experts and is also a certified advisor and evaluator for the Assessing low-Carbon Transition® (ACT) initiative. Outside of WSP, he teaches GHG Accounting and Mitigation as part of Columbia University’s Sustainability Management Program.
