Profile

Kimberly Wise White, Ph.D., is VP of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs at the American Chemistry Council (ACC). In this role, she oversees the development of ACC’s policy positions in response to regulatory and legislative proposals, as well as the generation of scientific research to inform decision-making and support product stewardship. She leads a team of experts in identifying, analyzing, and creating technical and policy materials that form the foundation of ACC’s advocacy and initiatives. She has more than a decade of experience in the chemical industry, with a focus on managing science policy issues, conducting scientific research, and leading product stewardship programs to support regulatory decisions. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of ACC’s Chemical Products and Technology Division, where she supported federal, state, and congressional advocacy efforts on specific chemistries and led the development and communication of science policy and research. She has represented the industry in numerous chemical policy discussions, including providing testimony to U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate Committees. Earlier in her career, she served as a Scientific Advisor for the oil and natural gas industry, overseeing regulatory efforts and research programs related to environmental, health, and safety issues. Dr. White holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in biology, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Toxicology, all from Texas Southern University.
