Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of Sales experience with a proven sales track record
  • Cold calling experience is beneficial

Duties

  • Reach out to decision makers across your specific industry and discuss opportunities to attend our Summit.
  • Generate leads and contact between 120-150 industry leaders a day
  • Stay knowledgeable about industry news, clients and proposition value for designated products you are working on.
  • Maintain a healthy base of leads and contacts that you can reach out to in your business development efforts.
  • Work with team to hit assigned metrics and meet weekly, monthly and campaign targets
  • Assist in general office activities as deemed necessary.

We are seeking a passionate, motivated, marketer to join our newly established, and growing, Marketing Department. As the Digital Content Specialist, you will enter into a key role of responsibility within the company, accountable for the management and development of our corporate content, email campaigns, and key client outreach initiatives.

Generis is a quickly growing company that has gone from an organization of 5 to an organization of 40 in two years. We are seeking a hardworking individual who can grow within the company, and has the potential to take on additional roles and responsibilities as we develop.

Key Responsibilities

Generis Content Generation

  • Generate cross-channel content (eBooks, blog posts, articles, infographics etc.) for distinct audiences across seven industries
  • Research and understand the content of the summit, the summit audience and the roles within the industry to generate topical and timely content
  • Analyze the efficacy of content pieces and drive improvements
  • Effectively communicate the activities and outcomes of Marketing campaigns to Senior Management
  • Constantly seek ways to innovate and improve processes, content and the overall value offering

Client Content Generation & Distribution

  • Work with our high level summit participants to help share their content and generate new content that will appeal to our attending audiences.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with our supplier partners
  • Work with our suppliers to develop a content generation strategy to promote their participation and demonstrate their thought leadership
  • Generate collaborative content (eBooks, blog posts, articles, infographics etc.)
  • Plan and execute content distribution schedules

Email Campaign Management

  • Generate email content to promote the upcoming summits
  • Manage and maintain the master list of contacts for each of our events
  • Manage email responses and coordinate the distribution of leads to sales and sponsorship associates
  • Track and report on the activities and outcomes of email campaigns
  • Provide training where necessary on internal email processes

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support for other marketing initiatives and activities as necessary

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong research and comprehension skills

  • Technical writing skills and the ability to generate strong content for B2B audiences
  • Familiarity with social media channels and content distribution strategies

Our Company has grown significantly over the last twenty-four months, and as a result, we are looking to hire an Event Coordinator to add to our Operations Department. This is an excellent role for a self-starter looking for exposure in the corporate events space, and who is willing to grow with our organization.

Qualifications:

  • University/College degree in Events Management or relevant work experience
  • Events Certification from a reputable institute
  • Experience running events in excess of 100 people is an asset
  • Meeting Management or CMP Certificate are assets to have

Job Duties:

  • Ability and flexibility to travel at various times throughout the year as required
  • Oversee event registrations and maintain database of attendees and sponsors across all events
  • Act as primary liaison with event attendees and sponsors – ensure ongoing correspondence such that relevant project information and deadlines are clearly communicated and adhered to as well as any event related questions are responded to in a timely manner
  • Act as primary liaison with event venues, suppliers, and vendors – ensure all event requirements are communicated and executed as necessary
  • Prepare RFPs, research, source and coordinate entertainment, décor, rentals, catering, displays, special needs requirements, event security and all miscellaneous items as required for events
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Production, Marketing, and IT – ensure digital and print promotional materials are submitted, proofed, and produced according to set schedule i.e. event show guide, signage, handouts, e-blasts, multimedia, etc.
  • Develop event critical path – outline and allocate all activities required to ensure successful execution of event i.e. onsite staff scheduling, shipping of event materials, audio visual, etc.
  • Provide onsite event support and supervision including set up, onsite execution, and tear down
  • Administrative duties as required

Skills Desired:

  • Extremely organized, with time-management skills and be able to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Able to effectively communicate relevant project information to peers and vendors with a high level of accuracy

Day to day tasks include:

  • Market research to track the specific information and business requirements relevant to the topic and target audience
  • Develop a contact list of potential presenters-thought leaders appropriate for the conference program being developed
  • Development of coherent, benefits driven copy outlining the proposed presentations and content of the conference program being developed
  • Working with operations to ensure that presenters meet requirements for participating in the conference
  • Responsible for developing and presenting the marketing brief for the event with guidelines set
  • Responsible for developing and presenting the delegate and sponsorship sales briefs for the event with guidelines set
  • Responsible for supporting the delegate and sponsorship sales campaigns
  • Responsible for copy edits
  • Responsible for creating and relaying content to our audience
