TORONTO, Ont. - Generis Group is pleased to announce that it has been included in the 32nd annual Growth List, the definitive ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies by Canadian Business and Maclean’s. The Growth List ranks Canadian companies based on five-year revenue growth. Generis Group ranked No. 26 out of 415 companies with a five-year revenue growth of 2,988%.

"We are incredibly honoured to be recognized on the Growth List alongside some of the most innovative and successful businesses in the country,” said Francesco Scalzo, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Generis Group. “We are especially pleased to receive this award during a year which has proven to be particularly challenging and disruptive for event organizers.  This is actually the third major accolade in 2020 for us and we believe is emblematic of our ability to lead in our sector and beyond.”

Generis Group recently ranked No. 209 on The Globe and Mail's list of Canada's Top Growing Companies and No. 183 in the Financial Times’ list of Americas’ Fastest-Growing Companies in 2020. Prior to this, Generis Group ranked No. 120 on The Globe and Mail's list of Canada's Top Growing Companies in 2019, and No. 11 on the Canadian Business STARTUP 50 list of Canada's Top New Growth Companies in 2017.

The company’s success comes from being an agile business that is quick to adapt to market demands for innovative content, business development services and marketing solutions. Currently, the company is focused on the growth and evolution of its 10 branded and owned business summits, registered marketing services and content sites, as well as transitioning to virtual events amidst the coronavirus.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw digital events and marketing solutions as a way for our clients to exhibit their products, network and do business,” said Jason Cheddie, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer at Generis Group. "Since going fully virtual, we are in an extremely strategic position as a company and looking forward to taking our growth to a whole new level in the years ahead.”

“The companies on the 2020 Growth List are really exceptional. Their stories are a masterclass in how to survive when the economy throws a curveball. Despite turbulence, the 2020 Growth List companies showed resilience, spirit and, most importantly, empathy and strong leadership,” said Susan Grimbly, Growth List Editor. “As we celebrate over 30 years of the Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies program, it’s encouraging to see that the heart of Canada’s entrepreneurial community beats strong, even in tough times.”

The full list of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies and Growth List winners can be found in a special print issue of Canadian Business published with Maclean’s magazine—out now—and online at CanadianBusiness.com and GrowthList.ca.
